TRAVELLING MAN
PENNED by acclaimed Austrian poet, playwright and actress Veronika Pernthaner and appearing here in an English translation by Michael Branwell, this is the life of a travelling man, recounted as he as he spends the night on a railway station because he has nowhere else to sleep. It’s a moving, inspirational, fascinating story.
Travelling Man is a powerful, one man, one act piece of theatre, brought to life by John Childs with music written and performed specially for the play by internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Les Sullivan.
ON THE BRIDGE
Translated, again by Michael Branwell, from Klicpera’s Czech classic comedy this is a gently amusing reflection on the human condition. Finding themselves trapped on the bridge between warring armies, the characters run the gamut of human emotion, fired variously by passion and the capacity for misunderstanding.
