Operation Hornet was Essex Police’s response to community concerns and intelligence following reported Class A drug activity and violence since the beginning of the year. On Tuesday, March 4 officers executed search warrants at 31 residential properties under the Misuse of Drugs Act resulting in numerous arrests and the recovery of large quantities of cocaine and heroin.
Shafique Kahn was last known to be living on The Dashes but the 36-year-old unemployed man also has friends living in Hoddesdon in Hertfordshire where he may also reside for various periods of time.
Four other people are also wanted in connection with Operation Hornet. Although they have east London home addresses, they all have ties to Harlow mainly because of their suspected to links to other criminals.
Darnell Watson is a 23-year-old unemployed man from Homerton High Street; Peter Lloyd is a 41-year-old unemployed man from Banbury Road in Homerton; Leon Finnegan is a 26-year-old unemployed man from Alkham Road in Stoke Newington; and Olumide Kuponipe is a 34-year-old unemployed man from Chaucer Court in Dalston.
Anyone who knows of the whereabouts of these five men should contact detectives at Harlow police station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
