Woman in court over Broadfield burglary

A WOMAN is due to appear in court today (Monday) after she was charged with burgling a woman’s home in Harlow.
The break-in happened when a woman and a boy entered a flat near Broadfield shortly after 3pm on Friday, June 27 claiming to be relatives of the homeowner. A handbag and mobile telephone were later stolen.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested at his home in the town on Friday evening in connection with the burglary. He is now on police bail until Saturday, September 19 pending further enquiries.
On Saturday, June 28, Sarah Lodge was arrested on Kitson Way in the town and later charged with one count of burglary. The 35-year-old unemployed woman of no fixed address has been detained in police custody prior to her appearance at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Monday, June 30.
