Football: All change at Harlow Town

Football / Tue 8th Jul 2014 at 02:29pm

SEVEN of last season’s Harlow Town squad have left the club.

However, all is not lost as it was announced that top scorer, Alex Read is staying.

Player-coach, Danny Brown and Donny Barnard have retired.

Striker Leon Antoine has joined Ryman premier side Witham. Midfielder John Glowacki has joined Grays Athletic. Right winger Junior Dadson has left to join Hornchurch.

However, Read, left-back Layne Eadie and central defender Josh Urquhart have rejected deals at Conference South and Ryman premier clubs to stay at The Harlow Arena as Chapman targets the title this year.

Midfielder Scott Curley has been released by Chapman, who wants to sign a keeper to give Ed Thompson competition, plus a centre-half, a right winger and possibly a striker.

Brothers James and George Smith, winger Shane Stamp, right-back Robbie Martin and central midfielders Fabion Simms and Stan Muguo will remain at the club.
