Police probe after motorcyclist and son in hospital after concrete block left in road in Roydon

POLICE are appealing for any information from the public after a motorcyclist and his son were injured when they came off their bike after it collided with a large piece of concrete in the road in Roydon yesterday(July 7).
Around 8.40am the two men, aged 43 and 17 from Harlow, were travelling along Hamlet Hill from Roydon towards Harlow on a white and blue Suzuki motorbike when they rounded a bend and struck the concrete, which is described as about the size of a breeze block. They were thrown from the bike and both were taken to hospital in Harlow by the ambulance service. The 43 year old suffered a dislocated shoulder and bruising and his son had cuts and bruises.
Police want to hear from anyone who was in the area that morning and may have seen an open backed vehicle carrying concrete rubbish or can provide any witness information. If you can help please contact Pc Roy Levett at Chigwell Road Policing unit on 101.
