Chance to fall in love with Pishiobury Park

Lifestyle / Mon 14th Jul 2014 at 11:47am

TO celebrate Love Parks Week, there are two free fun activities in our parks this summer.

At Southern Country Park in Bishop’s Stortford, East Herts Council has organised a range of activities including the popular annual dog show. Just bring along your pet on the day – no need to pre-register. Families can also take part in a fitness activity trail, orienteering and making wooden medallions with the Friends group.

The council has also teamed up with the Dogs Trust to offer free dog micro-chipping on the day, so if your dog hasn’t been chipped come along and take advantage of this offer.

At Pishiobury Park in Sawbridgeworth you can meet the friendly Longhorn cattle and join a guided bug hunt too. There will be lots of free fun activities for the whole family.

Linda Haysey, Executive member for health, housing and community support, said: “These two afternoons are always great fun. Why not bring along a picnic and make the most of these two lovely parks.”

The dates are:

· Tuesday July 29, 12noon-3pm at Southern Country Park, CM23 4BH

· Thursday July 31, 12noon-3pm at phish, CM21 0AL.
