WEST Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and NHS Stop Smoking will be sharing messages about lung cancer and stopping smoking at the Harlow Classic Car and Motorbike Show this Sunday, 27 July.

People attending the event at Harlow Rugby Club are invited to visit the NHS stall where friendly staff will be available with free healthcare information and to help with general enquiries or signposting for specific concerns.

Dr Christine Moss, clinical director at West Essex CCG said: “Visitors will be able to find out about the national campaign, Be Clear on Cancer, which encourages people to be clear about lung cancer, how to spot it and about how seeing a doctor early can save your life- If you’ve been coughing for three weeks or more, tell your doctor.”

There will also be free advice on how to stop smoking as no matter what age you stop, it reduces your chances of developing lung cancer.

The Harlow Classic Car and Motorbike Show takes place this Sunday 27 July 11am- 5pm at Harlow Rugby Club, Elizabeth Way, Harlow, CM20 2JQ.
