IT WAS a perfect sunday afternoon in Upper Mealines (is there a Lower Mealines?). The good residents were having a street party organised by the very hard working community champions at the Latton Common Residents Association.

The good news is that the whole event raised over £250 for the Harlow Chocolate Run. Jackie Brown and Steve Jack were on hand to accept the cheque.

The chair of Harlow Council, cllr Ian Beckett was also on hand to present the cheque and support the community.
