Athletics: Harlow shine in tough Takeley 10K

Harlow Running Club member Andy Kinney completed another double header weekend. On Saturday he ran the Huddersfield Parkrun 5k, finishing in 242nd place out of 549 finishers in 27min dead. Then on Sunday he ran the Halifax Half Marathon, finishing in 94th place out of 120 finishers in 2hrs 32min 27sec.
Meanwhile at the Gunpowder Parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey Jason Haigh finished in 17th place out of 101 finishers in 22min 19sec. He was followed home by Brendon Maclean 18th in the same time of 22min 19sec, a personal best time for the distance (PB), Robin Lozeau 26th in 22min 54sec and Holly Nairn 45th in a PB time of 26min 22sec.
At the Great Notley Parkrun 5K Vicky Calver finished in 53rd place out of 90 finishers in a PB time of 29nin 47sec.
At the Valentines Parkrun 5K at Ilford Katie Muirhead finished in 67th place out of 211 finishers in 27min 01sec.
At the multi-terrain and hilly Takeley 10K Jamie Jephcott finished in 18th place out of 330 finishers in a superb 42min 33min. He was followed home by Gary Godfrey 30th in 44min 41sec, Daniel Jephcott 38th in 45min 47sec, Pasquale Pellucchia 46th and 2nd Vet 60 in 46min 11sec, Paul Dixon 80th in 48min 31sec, Vicky Steadman 99th in 49min 42sec, Robin Lozeau 108th in 50min 43sec and Janice Page 233rd in 60min 43sec.
