TWELVE obstacles designed to test your fitness await those taking on an Assault Course Challenge in aid of St Clare Hospice.

The Hastingwood-based charity has teamed up with new fitness retreat Bootcamp at The Place, at Hubbards Hall in Churchgate Street, to stage the test of strength and stamina on Sunday, September 14 from 11am to 5pm.

The timed challenge, which features obstacles including scramble nets and tyre tunnels, is open to anyone over the age of 16 who wants to give it a try. The prize for the person who completes the course in the fastest time is a free bootcamp retreat weekend worth more than £300.

St Clare community fundraiser James Barber said: “The assault course challenge is an exciting and unique event which we wouldn’t be able to put on without the enthusiasm and support of Paul Eden at The Place and we are hoping lots of people will come down to Hubbards Hall on the day to give it a go.

“It’s ideal for those who want to test their limits and push themselves while helping raise money for their local Hospice. Having tried a few of the obstacles myself, I can promise it’s also great fun, especially if you want to pit yourself against your friends or workmates.”

St Clares AssaultTickets are £8 in advance or £10 on the day. There will also be a raffle and refreshments. To book, or for more details, call James on 01279 773751 or email [email protected].
