MEMBERS of the public invited to attend West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group’s first Annual General Meeting
West Essex CCG will be holding its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 25 September 14.00 -15.30 at Harlow Resource Centre and is inviting members of the public to attend.
The AGM will be an opportunity for the public to see for themselves what the CCG has achieved by designing and purchasing healthcare on their behalf during its first year in operation. The event will also provide a window through which to view the future of local health services and the CCG’s ambitions for the next decade.
Clare Morris, WECCG Chief Officer, said: “We constantly seek out new opportunities to commission quality healthcare and keep the patient at the heart of everything we do. We want people to attend our AGM and ask questions; this is their chance to talk to the people responsible for making decisions on their behalf. The NHS belongs to the people and they must have a strong voice in order that we can develop local health and social care services that meets their needs now and in the future.”
Before the formal AGM starts there will be an exhibition of current CCG work 12.30-14.00. Representatives from each team within the CCG will be demonstrating projects they are currently working on, individual achievements from over the year and their plans for the future. A light buffet lunch will be provided during the exhibition.
If individuals would like to submit a question for the board in advance, they should visit www.westessexccg.nhs.uk and follow the link to the events page.
