Harlow Town 6 v 3 Dereham Town

Harlow Town thumped six goals past Dereham Town at the Harlow Arena.

Harlow opened the scoring in the 15th minute with Alex Read latching onto a loose header.

Fabion Simms made it 2-0 in the 22nd minute as he nodded in from a David Cowley free kick.

When Read made it 3-0 in the 25th minute, it really looked as if Harlow would run riot. When he got his hat-trick in the 40th minute, Dereham looked down and out.

But the Dereham fightback began with goals from Ryan Hawkins and then a penalty by Luke Tuttle.

Harlow stretched their lead to 5-2 with a James Smith strike.

Harlow made it six in the 72nd minute through a fantastic individual goal by Dave Cowley. Cowley picked up the ball in the middle of the park drove past two Dereham defenders and coolly finished into the corner.

Dereham got the last say with another Luke Tuttle goal.
