CHILDREN arrived at school to find a mysterious giant egg had appeared.
Following an emergency assembly, pupils at Little Parndon Primary School, in Park Mead, Harlow, were tasked with investigating where the egg had come from.
Each class then took the egg theme and used it in creative writing, news report writing, cooking and art projects.
Head of school Sophie Laing said: “We wanted the children to be engaged in school from day one. They were still talking about the egg days after it mysteriously disappeared.
“Every year group worked on the same theme, but adapted it to suit their various levels. The project resulted in work we can asses and use as baseline data.”
