CHILDREN, parents and teachers gathered in church to celebrate harvest.

The harvest festival at St Peter’s Church was attended by the community of Roydon Primary School, in Epping Road, Roydon.

Headteacher Gill Doyle said: “We celebrate harvest each year at school and at our local church. We are a rural school so farming is a big part of our lives. I am proud to be able to educate our children about where food comes from through the message of harvest.

“We are also aware not everyone has access to enough food and we are happy to help those who struggle to provide food for their families.”
