Lady Kao expressed high regard for the UTC and its facilities. Principal Michael McKeaveney said:

“It was an honour to welcome Lady Kao to Sir Charles Kao UTC. I am pleased she enjoyed her visit and meeting our hard-working students and I would like to thank her for her kind donation of a signed memoir from Sir Charles”
