Appeal for information after shooting in Willowfield in Harlow

ESSEX Detectives are appealing for information following an assault in Harlow.

Police were contacted at about 12.35pm on Sunday, August 30 with reports a man had been assaulted after a shotgun had been discharged in the Willowfield area.

A short time later, officers received a further report that a 23-year-old man had been admitted to hospital with a minor gunshot wound to his hand and a broken arm.

Officers attended the scene and also an address in Little Pynchons, where a shotgun was seized.

Two men, both aged 25 and from Harlow, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Two men aged 21 and 23 from Harlow were arrested on suspicion of assault, grievous bodily harm and possession of firearms offences.

A 25-year-old man from Harlow was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, possession of firearms offences and assisting an offender.

And a 49-year-old man from Shropshire was arrested on suspicion of assault, grievous bodily harm and possession of firearms offences.

They are all currently in custody awaiting questioning.
