IN celebration of Halloween, The Harvey Centre put on a free School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for children to enjoy on Saturday 29th October between 11am and 4pm.
All of the events were Harry Potter themed and took place on the ground floor of the centre. Harry Potter and Ron Weasley look-a-likes walked around the centre to add to the fun and there were mystical Professor Snape’s potions classes running for children to attend and learn the art of potion making. Professor McGonagall’s Broomstick Training Classes were also available for children to learn how to fly a broomstick.
A magnificent magician shocked and surprised the kids with his amazing Halloween inspired tricks and Harvey the Hippo also made a special appearance, dressed in his favourite Halloween outfit.
A HoneyDukes wizarding sweet shop handed out free sweets to children to enjoy. Children got transformed into their favourite creepy characters by two talented sorcerers. Plus 3 Darths were selling Harry Potter themed jewellery on the mall for customers to purchase.
Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre says, “Our Halloween event was a huge success. Feedback from customers has been incredible – they absolutely loved the huge amount of varied entertainment we had on offer. Harry Potter was a great theme that the people of Harlow really embraced. We can’t wait to plan our event for next year!”
