CARERS Rights Day on Friday 25th November brings organisations across the UK together to help carers in their local community know their rights and find out how to get the help and support they are entitled to.
There are over 180,000 people in Essex that provide unpaid care for someone who couldn’t manage without their help. Supporting Carers in Essex is a group of charities, led by Action for Family Carers, working together to support unpaid carers of all ages across Essex.
When you’re caring, getting the right information at the right time can make all the difference and all of our partners deliver high quality support services at times of need.
James Clarke, Chief Executive of Action for Family Carers said:
“It’s vital that we reach out to the thousands of carers in Essex and let them know about their rights and the support they could be entitled to. We can provide carers with important advice and information to make sure they know how to get the financial and practical support they need, when they need it. No one should have to care alone and Carers Rights Day highlights that they don’t have to; carers can get the essential information and advice they need and connect with other local carers
If you are looking after someone, or are cared for by an unpaid Carer and are interested in finding out more about the support and services offered by Supporting Carers in Essex
