DISAPPOINTMENT spread through the children’s department at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow when they lost their sponsor for the popular Dolphin Ward Christmas Party.
Jamie Pring, fundraising co-ordinator, quickly put an appeal on Facebook and was overwhelmed by the response from local residents and business.
Within an hour The Great Parndon Community Association had donated their hall and 2 DJ’s from the Square donated a disco.
Harlow Water Gardens has promised Santa will visit and kind, local resident, Debbie Nogre Dilligaf has offered presents for the children.
Jamie is delighted and extremely grateful with the response and says he has had more offers of help setting up and clearing away afterwards. It looks like the party will not only go ahead as usual but be bigger and better than ever proving there is plenty of Christmas Spirt in Harlow. The event, for patients, past and present takes place on 10th December.
