Longwood Primary School is building for the future

LONGWOOD Primary Academy has started their multi-million-pound extension works. They will have four new modern classrooms, reprographics room and library ready for their new intake in September 2017.

Since the school became an academy in January 2015 it has gone from strength to strength, with the school being in the top 10% most improved KS2 results in Essex. A DfE official praised Longwood for their relentless focus on high expectations when he visited in June this year.

Longwood has dedicated Maths and English specialists and 99% of parents happy with the progress their children are making. The school have recently been awarded Health School status as well as winning the Child Champion award in the Place2Be awards.

The head, Mr Hollinsley is offering a tour on Thursday 5th January 2016 at 9.30am for parents who want to see the progress the school has made.
