ESSEX Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a shop in Harlow.

Three men, wearing gloves and balaclavas and armed with scaffolding poles and what is believed to have been a sword, went into the Co-op in Maunds Hatch at around 11pm on Sunday, June 25.

They forced staff to open a safe and made off with a four-figure sum of cash.

No-one was injured.
