CHILDREN took a step back in time to learn about the Victorians.
Year 5 pupils from Roydon Primary Academy, in Harlow, visited the Royal Gunpowder Mills, in Waltham Abbey, for a Victorian day.
Matt Girvan, Year 5 teacher, said: “The annual trip was fantastic, as always. The class got to experience what life would have been like for a child back in the Victorian times.
The pupils learnt about Victorian toys, holidays, schools and workhouses.
“They left feeling extremely grateful for the opportunities they have in the modern world.”
