Update: Man in hospital as police investigate sex attack in Town Park

Update: Statement from Essex Police

We were called by ambulance staff to School Lane, Harlow at around 6.45am this morning (Sunday, October 8), with concerns for a man’s welfare.

He was reported to be suffering from breathing difficulties and was taken to hospital. He also had a minor head injury.

His condition is stable, and is not life threatening.

Following the incident, a sexual assault investigation is being conducted. The man is being supported by specialist officers.

A cordon has been put in place in the vicinity while forensic enquiries are carried out.

The investigation continues.

Anyone with information who may have been near the area at the time, is asked to contact the Adult Sexual Abuse Investigation Team at Grays on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.


Town Park Oct

0900 hrs

A CAR park in the Harlow Town Park has been cordoned off.

The car park next to the Greyhound Pub has been sealed off since early this morning.

Ambulance and police vehicles have been at the scene.

A single police vehicle remains at the location.

Strange crime ! I seem to re-call another incident in the Harlow area, when another man was viciously raped and murdered, no real charges ever made,because, if you can believe it, a technical error committed by our illustrious police, blocked certain avenues that needed investigating. RIP. ?
