“We are pleased to say that a man who we wanted to speak to as a witness in connection with a sexual assault in Harlow, has come forward following our CCTV appeal.

He is now kindly helping officers with their enquiries.

A 17 year-old girl reported she had been assaulted near Netteswell Woods on the evening of March 20.

A 20 year-old man from Harlow has been voluntarily interviewed.

ESSEX Police have released a CCTV image of a man we want to speak to as a witness in connection with a sexual assault in Harlow.

A 17-year-old girl reported she had been assaulted in an wooded area near Harlow Town Centre on the evening of March 20.

This are may be the grass land and woods opposite Harlow Leisurezone.

A 20 year-old man from Harlow has been voluntarily interviewed.

A spokesperson said: “We believe the man pictured in this CCTV image spoke to the victim and we need to identify him and speak to him as he may have information which is important to the investigation.
