Harlow teenager convicted of string of moped-related muggings

A TEENAGER, who lives in Harlow, has been convicted of stealing mobile phones whilst riding a moped.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was convicted at Chelmsford magistrates court for the following.
On 22/06/2018 at Rio Cinema, 107 Kingsland Road, London E8 attempted to steal a mobile phone to the value of unknown belonging to unknown.
On 22/06/2018 at Old Street, J/W Pitfield Street, London N1 attempted to steal mobile phone to the value of unknown belonging to unknown.
On 22/06/2018 at City Road, London EC1 stole Apple iPhone 7 Plus, to the value of £700, belonging to another.
On 22/06/2018 without reasonable excuse, rode a moped with no insurance and also found in possession of a mobile phone not registered in his name with immobilise.com which you were prohibited from doing by a criminal behaviour order made by Chelmsford Youth Court on 02/02/2018.
The teenager is subject of a pre-sentence report. He will return to court on October 12th for sentencing.
