Lieutenant-Governor of Newfoundland visits Harlow

THE LIEUTENANT-Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada visited Harlow last week (Tuesday Nov 6th).

Judy Foote was installed as Newfoundland and Labrador’s 14th lieutenant-governor since the province joined the Canadian Confederation in 1949.

She is also the first woman to hold the position.
 


Lt.Gov.Foote visited the Old Harlow campus of the Memorial University of Newfoundland which will be marking 50 years in Harlow in 2019.

The Lt-Gov met staff and students at the campus as well as the chair of Harlow Council, cllr Maggie Hulcoop.
