Harlow Ambassadors meet at the Museum

MORE than 80 Ambassadors met at the Harlow Museum and Walled Gardens on Thursday 29 November for the second Harlow Ambassador meeting.

The Harlow Ambassador programme brings together business, residents, investors and others to help forge a positive future for Harlow under the banner of Discover Harlow. Harlow Ambassadors champion the town as a great place to live, work and visit. They are a powerful force that will help the place to compete and attract investment, while enhancing the sense of pride people feel in Harlow.

Ambassadors meet bi-monthly in some of the area’s finest venues and buildings to network and to hear at first hand exciting news about Harlow which they can share with their contacts.

In the November meeting Ambassadors heard about:

recent developments at Harlow Museum and Walled Gardens, including the return of the John Collins cycle collection and the museum’s role in the community and education.

The Royal Opera House Bridge which works to ‘connect children and young people with art and culture’ and is working in Harlow with its new initiative, Inspire Harlow

Dr John Keddie, Chair of the Harlow Place Board and former Vice President of Global Operations for GlaxoSmithKline, says: ‘Thank you to our speakers Sharon Davies from Harlow Museum and Sarah Waterman from the Royal Opera House Bridge for sharing with us the exciting developments in their worlds. Harlow has a great story to tell as a place of colour and culture and as Ambassadors we can spread the news of and champion this vibrant work that’s happening within the town.’
