Helping Exporters help themselves

ESSEX Chambers of Commerce are pleased to announce that their 2019 Export Expert training courses will be part of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) Accredited Training Programme that results in successful candidates receiving a BCC Foundation Award in International Trade.

The BCC has nationally accredited a selection of International Trade Courses to be delivered by their Accredited Chamber Network. These courses provide an Import and Export curriculum, giving international traders the essential skills invaluable to small and large businesses alike.

At the end of each course the candidates will sit a short assessment paper, to demonstrate knowledge of the subject, which is then marked by an external assessor. If a ‘Pass’ or ‘Merit’ is achieved the candidate will receive a BCC Certificate.

The courses are suitable for both experienced and those with no previous knowledge of international trading. Since the courses began in 2013, over 5000 candidates have attended the programmes. Candidates completing six or more courses are awarded the BCC Foundation Award in International Trade.

Achieving this award has benefitted companies who have applied for the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status. Having the award enables companies to demonstrate to HMRC that they have the necessary competences to apply for AEO Registration. One successful company reported that “The BCC Accredited Trade Training courses developed my all round international trade knowledge and allowed my company to become AEO registered.”

2. Incoterms & Export Licence Controls

3. Finance Options focusing on Letters of Credit
