Harlow man jailed for ten weeks after vandalism in Harvey Centre

A HARLOW man has been jailed for over two months for a string of crimes including vandalism and harassment.

Lewis Cooper-Gray, aged 31, of No Fixed Abode, pled guilty at Chelmsford magistrates court to the following.

On 08/12/2018 at Harlow without lawful excuse, damaged a section of plasterboard walling to the value of £500 belonging to THE HARVEY CENTRE intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged

On 08/12/2018 at Harlow being an individual to whom a community protection notice (CPN) had been issued, failed to comply with the notice in that suspect has entered the Harvey Centrew in breach of conditions of CPN.

On 09/12/2018 at Harlow in the county of Essex being an individual to whom a community protection notice had been issued, failed to comply with the notice in that you have entered the Harvey Centre in breach of condition 4 of the CPN

On 09/12/2018 at Harlow, without reasonable excuse, you attended an address in Northbrooks, which you were prohibited from doing by an injunction granted by North Essex County court.

On 09/12/2018 at Harlow stole a purse.

On 09/12/2018 at Harlow without reasonable excuse did an act, namely attended an address in Northbrooks, Harlow, which you were prohibited from doing by a non-molestation order

On 09/12/2018 at Harlow without reasonable excuse, you attended an address in Northbrooks, Harlow which you were prohibited from doing by a restraining order imposed by North Essex Magistrates’ Court on 20/04/2018

Conviction of an offence while a community order made by North Essex Magistrates Court on 20/04/2018 for the offences of harassment between 7/4/18 and 18/4/18 and possession of diamorphine on 18/4/18 is in force.

Original offence in respect of which a Community Order was made on 20/04/2018. Original offence details: PH97004. between 07/04/2018 and 18/04/2018 at Harlow pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of two others and which you knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of them in that you repeatedly went to their home address and banged on the door demanding money for drugs, despite having been told to stay away from their address.

On 18/04/2018 at Harlow in the county of Essex, had in your possession a quantity of diamorphine a controlled drug of class A in contravention of section 5(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

The court detailed that he had breached his restraining order, failed to comply with community order for original sentence and failed to comply with court orders.

Cooper-Gray was sentenced to ten weeks in prison
