Mental Health Awareness Week: Harlow Playhouse invite you to The Cloud

HERE are general details regarding a series of workshops and installations taking place in a special installation in the Harvey Centre next week.

They are a partnership between Harlow Playhouse and the Harvey Centre as part of National Mental Health Awareness Week.

Next week will be looking at each one in detail.


Mindfulness Mural – Interactive & Therapeutic Mural for Harlow

Artist GEOJAM were invited to create an interactive mural for The Cloud Hub. The art duo are known to create pieces which incorporate typography and geometry as graphic art using tape and bold colours. The idea for the mural is for it to be completed by the people of Harlow as art therapy for Mental Health Awareness Week ultimately revealing an important message as the tape is peeled away.

Join us in the practice of holding a thought or a word loosely in your mind whilst building a piece of art with Artist Merlyn Griffiths. A fun informal creative workshop where you will learn interesting graffiti art styles and techniques by an experienced artist.
The kids will love it and the adults will too!

I TALK TO THE CLOUDS AND THEY CRY WITH ME is a beautifully moving and honest dance theatre show about loneliness, forgiveness and friendship.

Set within a spectacular and dramatic cloud structure, and based on a true story, two performers tell one man’s struggle through illness and suffering, and his desire to live in the sky.



The show shines a light on mental health problems and discusses death, suicide and the suffering we experience through illness.

Laughter Ambassador and Laughter Yoga Master Trainer in the UK Is joining us for Mental Health Week giving two 1 hour workshops.

Laughter Yoga shows a way of adopting a playful attitude. Laughter Therapy removes the obstacles in the way of taking that playful attitude and living life playfully and laughingly.

Her passion for laughter is all about you, her, people, and the change that happens instantaneously when we share laughter, when we laugh by ourselves, and when we smile.
