Letter to Editor: Defeated Labour candidate thanks voters

Politics / Mon 27th May 2019 pm31 02:21pm

Dear Editor,

I would like to send out my heartfelt thanks to everyone in Harlow who come out to vote Labour in last weeks election. It means even more considering the last minute nature of these elections.

However, what meant the most was voters in my own ward of Little Parndon and Hare Street as well as neighbouring Toddbrook, telling me that although they didn’t agree that the elections should be happening that they would still come out and vote for Labour.

I would like to thank Alex Mayer for all the support she gave Harlow during her time as an MEP and how deeply disappointed I am she wasn’t re-elected. She really was a champion of local communities.

However, as I do spend a little time away, reflecting on everything, one thing I am very certain is that I love living in Harlow and having the opportunity to represent residents in Little Parndon and Hare Street. I’ll continue to work hard for you all year round, and yes that does mean more litter picking.

Thank you once again

Chris Vince

It would help labours cause if they stood by their manifesto pledge of 2017 in delivering the referendum result, we dont need another referendum weve already had one.
