IT was National Cupcake Day for the Alzheimer’s society this week to raise money, and so they sold cupcakes that were made by the staff and residents.

Running alongside that they had their own ‘Ashlyn Cupcake Bake Off’ with cupcakes that were made by the staff and residents here at Ashlyn. This competition was judged by resident, Robert Cliff and Tessa Harvey from the Alzheimer’s Society. The winner of the competition was Linda Lewis who had made a unicorn themed cake.

Tess said: “I was very pleased to come along and judge the cupcake competition, it was lovely to see the residents here at Ashlyn interacting with family and staff enjoying themselves while raising £79.61 for the Alzheimer’s society

The cakes were amazing and were enjoyed by everyone”
