Garden Tiger pub closes (but owners have plans for future)

Business / Thu 27th Jun 2019 at 08:32am

THE GARDEN Tiger pub has closed until further notice.

A notice was placed on the window of the pub in late May.

The pub in Fishers Hatch was taken over by new owners in 2017. They completely renovated the pub as well as running social events and developing closer links with the community such as running a mini-bus to Harlow Town matches.

YH has spoken to one of the management team, Scottish businessman, Danny Azam. Mr Azam said: “Unfortunately, we had a bereavement where the owner died over in Pakistan.

“We have plans for their future, perhaps do a few things differently but retain all the links to the community”.

This was a great community pub for many many years but like alot of our history ithas bern ruined. Our pubs are named after moths and butterflies and this pub was named after the garden tiger moth. There has always been a moth alongside the pubs name not a tiger head. It looks so wrong and out of place. Owners should have done research.
