Football: Harlow to fundraise for Justin Edinburgh Foundation in friendly against Leyton Orient

HARLOW Town will step out for their first pre-season friendly of th season on Saturday July 6th at 3pm.

The game will be against Leyton Orient.

Their manager, Justin Edinburgh died last month.

Harlow Town will be collecting donations for the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation at this Saturday’s pre-season friendly with Leyton Orient.

The game marks the first time that Leyton Orient have taken to the field since the tragic passing of their late head coach Justin Edinburgh last month, who suffered a cardiac arrest just weeks after guiding the O’s back into the Football League.

His family have set up a foundation in his memory. The Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation has been created to help raise money through fundraising events and campaigns, with the aim of supporting a charity related to heart or brain health.

As well as raising money for those causes, the foundation will also be leading a campaign for a law change that will ensure defibrillators are equipped at all health and fitness centres across the country.

Around the stadium on Saturday there will be collection buckets where donations can be made to support this great cause.

You can also find out more about the foundation by following JE3 on Twitter or by visiting the JE3 JustGiving page.

Players, officials and spectators will also have the opportunity to pay their respects as both teams will observe a minute’s silence prior to kick off.

Please give generously, and we thank you in advance for your support.

The turnstiles will be open from 1.00 PM on a Saturday and 6.00 PM on a weekday evening.
