A CHANCE to dance the night away and at the same time support some wonderful, dedicated nurses raising funds in a good cause is coming your way.

And you could stand to win some fantastic prizes, such as a day’s racing, or delicious afternoon tea for two at a lovely country hotel.

The nurses on the Kingsmoor cardiology ward at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow, treat people with heart conditions every single day.

They see hundreds of patients from across Essex and Hertfordshire, and now they are raising funds for new monitoring equipment that will enhance patient care.

With support from wonderful volunteers they will be holding an autumn ball, so don’t miss out on this great occasion.

Set in the delightful surroundings of the Marriott Hotel, Cheshunt, the ball will offer a three-course meal with welcome drink, before you dance the night away.

But there’s lots more on offer. With every ticket sold there is a complimentary raffle ticket to win a hamper; there will also be an auction with beauty and meal vouchers, and more. A photographer will be on hand to capture those memorable moments.

Organisers Louise Dean and Kelly Bird said: “Charity fundraising provides support to health professionals for equipment that is beyond the scope of the NHS, and we are always very grateful to our supporters. Previous fundraising through the year has allowed us to buy various pieces of equipment such as extra blood pressure monitors and appliances in the ward kitchen. We have also bought the little things to enhance a patient’s experience like Christmas presents and ward decorations, birthday cakes, a TV with DVD player for our quiet room and basic toiletries for those patients who are alone with no family support. While the aim of our ball is to raise funds, we are absolutely determined that everyone has a great time and it’s a night to remember.”

The event is on Saturday 19 October, at the Marriott Hotel, Halfhide Lane, Broxbourne, EN10 6NG, just off the A10.

Tickets cost £55 and include a three-course meal with wine, complimentary raffle ticket with a chance to win a hamper, welcome drinks, and auction.
