ONE of Harlow Rugby Club’s loyalist servant received due recognition at the Active Essex Awards recently.

David Sharp won the Unsung Hero Award at the event held at Chelmsford Race Course.

At the age of 83 David has just retired from his duties at Harlow Rugby Club.

Starting In the 70’s as a referee, David then moved on to junior coaching and manager following his son playing rugby.

Leading up to his retirement he was the rugby club’s fixture secretary and press officer.
