Tottenham Hotspur team treat young patients to festive surprise at local hospital
PLAYERS from Tottenham Hotspur Football Club treated young patients to a festive surprise at The Princess Alexandra Hospital today (Thursday, 19 December).
Moussa Sissoko, Michel Vorm, Juan Foyth and Oliver Skipp visited the Dolphin Ward (children’s ward) to deliver early Christmas presents on behalf of the club.
Children – including young football fans – had the chance to meet the players and enjoy some Christmas cheer. The players also met our children’s ward team (pictured).
Goalkeeper Michel Vorm said: “I have children myself – I know, especially in situations where kids are in the hospital, it’s great if you can put a smile on their faces.
“Not all kids love football – but they all love presents! It was fantastic to share that good feeling with the children and their parents at The Princess Alexandra Hospital.”
Fiona Lodge, head of children’s services and nursing, said: “It was truly magical for our young patients to meet the Tottenham Hotspur players.
“We are so grateful to the club for taking the time to visit us and for bringing some festive football spirit to our ward.”
