Learning is extending beyond the classroom for students in Harlow.
YEAR 7 students at Burnt Mill Academy have been learning about Greek myths in their English lessons.
As part of their studies, they were challenged to take on an extended homework project to showcase their knowledge.
Students produced pieces of artwork and written work depicting Medusa, Pandora, Poseidon and Zeus.
Teacher Penny Simpson said: “In English, we wanted to enrich students with a learning experience which would need them to delve into their creativity and devise a project to encompass their knowledge. It was inspiring to see that they were able to achieve a great deal from this; students were very diligent and produced some fantastic visual representations of their Greek myths.”
Each term, students will be given a new topic as the focus on their extended homework project.
