Burnt Mill Academy / Tue 17th Mar 2020 at 04:45am

YOUNG people learnt the importance of fundraising to keep the county’s air ambulance operating.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance held workshops to explain to pupils at Cooks Spinney Primary Academy, in Harlow, what the medical service does and how it can be supported.

Pupils in all year groups were shown what the inside of an air ambulance looks like, as well as learning more about careers in medicine.

Headteacher Neil Stirrat said: “Pupils learnt how quickly the air ambulance can be dispatched and that it is funded by donations. They realised the operation of the air ambulance relies on people like us helping to fundraise.”
