Studies into Greek myths took curious students on a tour of Cambridge University.
YEAR 7 students from Burnt Mill Academy, in Harlow, spent a day at the prestigious university’s classics faculty as part of their English studies on
Greek Myths and Northern Lights texts.
They heard a talk about the university’s Greek and Roman statues and had a lesson in the Greek alphabet.
Teacher Penny Simpson said: “The trip to the university provided students with the chance to engage in the texts we have been studying at a deeper level.”
Students took a tour of the colleges and enjoyed a three-course lunch with lecturers and professors.
Note: Even took place before coronavirus pandemic.
