Armed Forces Day 2020: Remembering those who served and fell
History / Sat 27th Jun 2020 at 09:45am
OVER the years, we have always tried to preserve the memory of those who have played their part in the armed services.
We thought this would be an appropriate time to signpost a number of projects we have undertaken over the past few years.
In 2018, we asked 126 Harlow residents to read out the biographies of the 126 men who left the area between 1914 and 1918 and never came back.

For VE Day 75, we also wrote up the biographies of those who died in WW2.

There are also soldiers who fought and died in many other scenarios around the world since 1945.
Five years ago, we filmed the naming of a new street in honour of Private Robert Foster.
Of course, armed forces day is all about all those who served and serve.
