A PRIMARY school has been recognised for its efforts to keep children active during lockdown.
Cooks Spinney Primary Academy, in Harlow, has achieved the Active Essex Certificate of Appreciation as an Essex Activity Hero for “outstanding contributions to your community during 2020”.
Children took part in the Rainbow Games, competing in various challenges such as twisting, running and jumping and then submitting their scores.
PE teacher Monica Jordan said: “The Rainbow Games’ core values of determination, honesty and accountability underpin the importance of not just sporting challenges, but the challenges we face in everyday life.
“We are so proud of our pupils and happy to see them enjoying themselves while keeping fit.”
