Last Friday, a small group of children from Cooks Spinney school explored the school forest, collected items that caught their eye and chose forest names for themselves.

They saw a friendly Robin who was keeping an eye on them and reflected on what was special about the forest .

This was another great example of how the school were using their outside environment for educational purposes.

One of the pupils, Charlie said: “I really enjoyed these lessons as it doesn’t feel like learning but we are learning a lot.”
