HARLOW’S MP, Robert Halfon, has announced the winner and runners-up of his 2022 Christmas card competition.

Robert Halfon said: “In all the difficulties in the past year, one of the highlights has been seeing so many special Christmas card designs as hundreds of Harlow school children entered my Christmas card competition.

“It was very hard to choose the winner and runners-up of my competition as they were all excellent entries. But, in the end, I had to choose the winning design for the front of my Christmas card for residents.

“Huge congratulations go to Ruby Kings, age 11, from Burnt Mill Academy who won the competition with a very original, creative and unique drawing.

“I would also like to congratulate the runners-up: Ella Greenhalgh, age 10 from Hare Street Community Primary School, Julia Blaszczyk, age 9, from Hare Street Community Primary School, Mihaela Gasper, age 7, from Longwood Academy and Millie Parker, age 9, also from Hare Street Community Primary School for their fantastic designs.”

“As soon as restrictions permit, I will be meeting with Ruby, Ella, Julia, Mihaela and Millie in the House of Commons to present them with their special prizes and thank them for their entries.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to wish every resident a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I know this year has been a very tough one, but I have every hope that 2022 will be a much brighter one for our community.”
