A MUCH respected member of the Harlow Rugby community has been recognised with an award.

Charlie Nunn was presented with the Ken Spooner trophy.

Vice-Chairman of Harlow Rugby Club, Steve Foreman said: “This is an award recognising members who support our junior section at Harlow Rugby Club.

“Charlie got together a band of coaches about a year ago and with the help of IMAS (International Mixed Ability Sports) established mixed Ability Rugby at Harlow Rugby Club.

“Now every two weeks on a Saturday morning children of various ages with mixed abilities have fun with a rugby ball playing fun games like Tag Rugby.

“It also gives the parents and families a chance to get out in the fresh air and have a coffee, whilst the children are  playing in a safe environment.”
