THERE was a wonderful Platinum Jubilee atmosphere in Berecroft on Sunday afternoon.

The event was hosted by the Berecroft Residents Association, who a few years ago won the Queens Award for Voluntary Service.

Staple Tye councillor, Alastair Gunn also popped into the event.

Cllr Gunn said: “Jacqui and the Residents  Association put on a fantastic occasion, well attended by the local community. Her Majesty would have been proud! 

“It was great to see support from the local Co-Op, and the Jubilee celebration was also a good demonstration of why we need to keep 65 Berecroft for community use”.
