News / Thu 23rd Jun 2022 pm30 11:36pm

WITH Labour gaining the ward of Bush Fair, we spoke to both political leaders to gauge their reaction to the result.

Harlow Labour leader, Chris Vince was ebullient mood and clearly saw this as an important step forward into regaining power.

Harlow Council leader, cllr Russell Perrin was in more philosophical mood, accepting the defeat but determined to continue the plans for improvements they want to see in the town centre.

I had a labour person knock on my door, they didn't have anything to say, just a bit embarrassing, and as for knocking on doors all year round that's a complete lie, only see any off them, when there's an election. All the lot are self seeking opptuneists. I've voted all my life but hardly seems worth it now, I feel sorry for the young people in this town, when I was lucky enough to be housed here From London 45 years ago, this was a lovely town, the kids had the playbarn on the fields at bush fair, nothing for kids to do now except for a 2 little swings, nothing for teenagers to do except ride there bikes at breakneck speeds around bush fair shops terrorising people.whoever in Charge do something for the kids, so they don't get into mischief.

The leaseholders on the Five Acre estate are being overcharged by the Council for so called improvement works, to the tune of possibly £30,000 per flat. Please take note Harlow Council, the public have spoken.

Local issues for local people must be listened to, first and foremost. Something Russell perrin has not done. I just hope that kay and vince still stand against the river stort plans. We greens hang on to 3rd place, and very proud of that, considering we have only been going a short while . I still maintain we need a green candidate in Harlow and who's know, one day. Well done to every one. Xxx

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. We keep voting in the same 2 parties and nothing changes. We must all be insane! Next time why don’t we all vote for someone other than the same 2 parties. It does not matter who you vote for, just as long as it is not the same 2 parties. You never know, some good might come of it, but you will never know unless you try.
