GCSE Results: Burnt Mill students praised for their resilience

YOUNG people have been praised for their resilience during the pandemic as they collect their GCSE results.
Year 11 students returned to Burnt Mill Academy, in Harlow, today to collect their exam grades.
It is the first year since before the pandemic that students have sat their exams in the traditional way, with grades allocated by teachers for the last two summers.
Students celebrating top grades today include –
Head of school Laura McGlashan said: “We are extremely proud of the achievements of our students who have coped admirably with the challenges of preparing for examinations post pandemic.
“The students have achieved some excellent individual results, and their successes are a real testament to their attitude to learning, their resilience and their commitment to achieving their aspirations.
“We would like to thank the teachers and support staff for preparing the students so well for their examinations, and for the continued support of the parents and carers.”
