COUNTRY house hotel Down Hall at Hatfield Heath is hosting its first open-air cinema weekend.

Taking place on the lawn in the four-star hotel’s 110-acre gardens, film fans can enjoy screenings of cult classics Grease (Friday July 21), Top Gun: Maverick (Saturday July 22) and The Greatest Showman (Sunday July 23).

With tickets priced £13.80, guests can sit back and relax in comfy seats in front of the large screen, with warming blankets and hot water bottles, beneath the twinkling stars and night sky, making the perfect evening out whether it’s for a family get-together, a catch-up with friends or a date night.

On each of the three nights, there will be live music from local artists from 7.30pm before the film begins at 9pm.

There will be food in the form of barbecue delights as well as a pizza menu, both curated by Down Hall’s executive chef Robert Pearce, sweet treats, including popcorn and brownies, plus copious cocktails and bubbles from the hotel’s outdoor Horsebox Bar.

Guests looking to make a night of it can stay overnight in one of the hotel’s 99 spacious and luxury bedrooms, with prices starting from £172 a night based on two people sharing, including breakfast the next morning.
