THE annual Check-in at Stansted Business Exhibition took place on Thursday 29th June 2023 at the Novotel Hotel, London Stansted Airport.
Organised by the Stansted Airport Chamber of Commerce, a range of sponsors and exhibitors set up stands to promote their organisations and services to other exhibitors and visitors on the day.
The event sponsored by London Stansted Airport, Uttlesford District Council, Global and Localiq, was described to having ‘a real buzz’ in the air with lots of business connections being made on the day.
Julie Budden, Chair of the Stansted Airport Chamber said:
“I’d like to thank everyone who attended the expo – exhibitors, sponsors, suppliers, staff and visitors for making the event a fun, energetic and successful event. It was lovely to receive extremely positive feedback from exhibitors as they packed away their stands with a number already putting their companies down to sign up to next years’ expo”.
She continued:
“As a chamber based in Stansted, our district has a lot to offer in terms of the business community. The airport is a major gateway, and it was great to attract people not only from Essex, but also Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, London and Suffolk on the day. Each year we strive to encourage as many people as possible to attend – a free day of business networking all under one roof”.
Community Engagement Manager, Daniel Burford from London Stansted Airport, also a headline sponsor of the event added:
“We were delighted to see Check-in at Stansted return to the Novotel and to see so many local businesses able to showcase their products and services to buyers. The event provided a great opportunity for exhibitors to network as well as learn and share best practice. With more than 12,000 employees across 200 companies, London Stansted is a key enabler of economic growth and productivity in the region, and we are committed to supporting local SMEs and businesses and ensuring they continue to benefit from our success.”
The speed networking session run in association with Glenys Chatterley from EBN was also a huge hit with networking made fun and informal for those that took part.
Mind in West Essex were nominated as the charity of the year for the 2nd year running, with just shy of £300 made in raffle donations on the day. Many prizes were kindly donated from exhibitors on the day.
Jade Bolton, Fundraising Coordinator at Mind in West Essex said:

Thank you to everyone who supported us, your donation will help us to continue our vital projects. Also, a huge thank you to Nicola and Julie at Check-in Stansted for choosing us as your charity.”

It reminds people we are here and also opens up new conversations and collaborations. We are looking forward to the next one”.
